Tomorrow, the activities of the Saudi Media Forum (MF) will start in its second edition in Riyadh, which is organized by the Journalists Authority in strategic partnership with the Radio and Television Corporation, in the presence of more than 1,500 media professionals, academics and experts from Arab and international countries, and ministers and local and international officials, to discuss many issues related to the media sector, its reality and its future.

The forum, which includes more than 60 scientific sessions and a working paper, will discuss in a special session His Royal Highness Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Minister of Energy, followed by a session for His Excellency the Minister of Investment, Engineer Khaled Al-Falih, and then a session with His Excellency the Minister of Information in charge, Dr. Majid Al-Qasabi.

Over a period of two days, the forum will discuss more than 100 papers, and will witness extensive discussions in the accompanying workshops in which elite experts from the world participate, in preparation for reaching reliable recommendations in developing media content and finding solutions to its problems, as the forum focuses this year on the impact of what is happening around the world. The world is witnessing rapid developments and major events on the future of the media, and therefore he chose “Media in a Shaping World” as his title.

The head of the Saudi Media Forum and CEO of the Radio and Television Corporation, Mohammed bin Fahd Al-Harthy, explained that the event is a media and cultural platform for dialogue, discussion and offering opinions about the reality and future of the sector, which is witnessing rapid development, indicating that the forum is launched at a time when the Saudi media is witnessing an unprecedented boom, from By keeping up with the media changes in the world, and excelling in his theses and tools, which contributed to the spread of his content on a global scale.

He added: “The forum will include many sessions and working papers in which experts and media specialists from inside the Kingdom and the Arab and international countries will speak, and they will discuss the reality and future of the media and the challenges it faces in light of the rapid changes. It also seeks to create a competitive environment in media work, to be a motivation for institutions.” Specialists and professionals in presenting distinguished works that deserve celebration and honor, stressing that the award serves the content and gives it more giving and creativity.

He drew attention to the fact that the forum will include many agreements between the forum and a number of parties, with the aim of developing media content and supporting media professionals, ensuring continuity of work in the media sector, and benefiting from modern developments and technologies that contribute to the quality of content.

Al Harthy stated that the forum will witness, in conjunction with the activities of its second session, the launch of the first initiative of its kind to qualify Saudi broadcasters, with the participation of three media institutions represented by the Radio and Television Corporation, MBC Media Group, Rotana Channels Network and Al Arabiya Channel.

He welcomed the sponsors and participants in the second edition of the forum, as the list of partners includes many government and private agencies, which will be an addition to the forum by supporting and developing content.

It is noteworthy that the forum in its previous session, which was held under the title: “Media Industry.. Opportunities and Challenges”, witnessed a large attendance, and achieved remarkable success, after it dealt with many media topics, and reviewed the most prominent experiences, successful experiences and rich opinions presented by the participants and attendees.
