On behalf of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud – may God protect him -, His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, chaired today in Jeddah the meeting of the thirty-second regular session of the Council of the League of Arab States at the level of the top.
His Highness the Crown Prince was received by Their Majesties, Excellencies, Highnesses and Excellencies, leaders and heads of delegations participating in the summit of leaders of Arab countries, upon their arrival at the summit venue.
Then, commemorative photos were taken of His Highness the Crown Prince and Their Majesties, Excellencies, Highnesses and Excellencies the leaders of the delegations of the participating countries in the work of the summit.
After that, the work of the meeting of the thirty-second regular session of the Council of the League of Arab States began at the summit level, with the recitation of verses from the Holy Quran.
Then, His Excellency Mr. Ayman bin Abdul Rahman, Prime Minister of the People’s Democratic Republic of Algeria, delivered a speech in which he expressed his country’s thanks and gratitude to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and to His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister for the generous hospitality and hospitality Reception.
He said: Algeria was honored to host the 31st session of the Arab Summit in extremely complex regional and international circumstances, in addition to the outbreak of the Ukrainian crisis, which put the world in a state of increasing polarization, and in front of new challenges represented, especially in food security, again calling for the mobilization of Arab financing energies, especially the Arab Monetary Fund. And the existing Arab funds to assist Member States that are in dire need of this assistance to enable them to overcome these difficult international circumstances.
He added, “Algeria has established its presidency of the Arab Summit under the slogan: “Reunification,” and culminated in the signing of the Palestinian brothers on the Algeria Declaration and their commitment to work to embody the entitlements contained therein, continuing coordination with the Palestinian President aimed at completing the path of Palestinian national reconciliation, in addition to restoring brotherly Syria to its natural seat. in the League of Arab States.
The Algerian Prime Minister expressed his country’s satisfaction with the signs of détente that occurred through the rapprochement in Arab relations with the two neighbors, Turkey and Iran, which was marked by a détente in the region’s crises, stability and a reduction in tensions, which opens broad horizons for cooperation and partnership and paves the way for peace in the region and in some member states. Especially in brotherly Yemen, appreciating all efforts exerted to settle this crisis once and for all and lift the suffering of the brotherly Yemeni people.
He stressed the need to strengthen solidarity with our brothers in Somalia and Djibouti in the face of the drought in the Horn of Africa for the sixth year in a row, which required urgent intervention to avoid a humanitarian catastrophe impending on these two brotherly peoples and all the peoples of the region.
He again called on the brothers in Sudan to give priority to the supreme interest of the homeland and resort to the virtues of dialogue to resolve differences and spare the brotherly Sudanese people the dangers of slipping into a spiral of bloody violence that poses a threat to social peace and the unity of the country.
At the end of his speech, he offered his sincere congratulations and great appreciation to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and His Royal Highness the Crown Prince on the occasion of the Kingdom’s assumption of the presidency of the thirty-second session of the Arab Summit, asking God Almighty to provide him with his help and success in assuming this lofty responsibility, and we are fully confident that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia will lead with all merit. And the ability of the work of our council to what we have entrusted with it and its wise leadership of constant keenness on the unity of the Arab ranks and the activation and development of the mechanisms of joint Arab action.
At the end of his speech, he announced the handover of the presidency of the thirty-second regular session of the Arab League Council meeting at the summit level to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
Then, His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, after the Kingdom assumed the presidency of the 32nd regular session, delivered the following speech:

We are also pleased to thank His Excellency the President of the People’s Democratic Republic of Algeria / Abdelmadjid Tebboune for his efforts during his country’s presidency of the previous session, and we thank His Excellency the Secretary-General of the League of Arab States, and all its employees, for their efforts to serve joint Arab action.

We assure neighboring countries, and friends in the West and the East, that we are moving forward for peace, goodness, cooperation and construction, in a way that achieves the interests of our peoples and safeguards the rights of our nation, and that we will not allow our region to turn into fields of conflicts, and it is enough for us to turn the page on the past by remembering the painful years of conflicts that the region lived through and suffered from. their people and stumbled because of the development process.
Today, we are pleased with the presence of His Excellency President Bashar al-Assad at this summit, and the issuance of the Arab League’s decision regarding the resumption of the participation of Syrian government delegations in the meetings of the League of Arab States Council. We hope that this will contribute to supporting the stability of Syria, the return of things to normal, and the resumption of its natural role in the homeland. Arab, in a way that achieves the good for its people, and in a way that supports all of our aspirations towards a better future for our region.

The Palestinian issue was and still is the central issue of Arabs and Muslims, and it comes at the top of the Kingdom’s foreign policy priorities, and the Kingdom did not hesitate or delay in supporting the people.
