The International Messengers of Peace painting at the Saudi Arabian Scout Association pavilion at the 25th World Scout Camp in South Korea is witnessing a great turnout from international scout delegations, which is implemented by the Association as part of its activities in the Global Development Village (GDV).

The idea of the painting, which was launched by the association in 2007 at the 21st World Scout Jamboree in the United Kingdom, is based on spreading peace; and calling for it in various languages and expressions among the scouts; Through various means carried out by the participants in the camp of both sexes, including printing, fingerprinting, writing and signing on the board.

The painting witnessed, at all its global stations, great interest from the participants in the global camps after its launch in 2007, which coincided with the celebration of the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Scout movement in the world, as it landed after that in the twenty-second World Scout Jamboree in Sweden in 2011; then the 23rd World Scout Jamboree in Japan in 2015; Until I arrived before this camp to the twenty-fourth World Scout Jamboree hosted by the United States of America in 2019.

It is expected that the painting will achieve a record in length, breaking the number barrier that was achieved in the twenty-third camp in Japan, where the length of the painting in that camp reached 180 meters.

The paintings are considered one of the important documents that the Society has kept for 16 years since its launch, as one of the aspects of appreciation from the Kingdom’s Scouts for the message of peace, and an extension of the “Messengers of Peace” program adopted by the Government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and launched in September 2011.
