Riyadh – The Saudi Falcon Club launched the third edition of the international auction for falcon production farms, in which leading production farms from 16 countries participate, namely (Saudi Arabia, Britain, America, Austria, Belgium, Germany, Spain, Poland, France, the Netherlands, Canada, Slovakia, Czech Republic, Ireland, Hungary, Uzbekistan) for a period of 21 days, at the club’s headquarters in the Mulham area, north of the capital, Riyadh.

The auction presents to falconers and those interested hundreds of falcons of elite breeds from around the world, in an event that is the largest of its kind in the region, which enhances the Kingdom’s position as a global destination for falcons and falconers.

The auction also provides a reliable and safe market for falconers and falcon producers, preserves the heritage and traditions of falconry in the Kingdom, and supports production farms there.

Walid Al-Taweel, the official spokesman for the Saudi Falcon Club, confirmed that the auction came in response to the demands of falconers to provide elite breeds of falcons, which makes Riyadh a global center in the field of falcons, out of pride and confirmation of this ancient heritage, which the Kingdom’s leadership and people are keen to preserve, sustain and pass on to future generations.

Al-Taweel explained that the club’s launch of the international auction for falcon production farms in its third edition is the first of the club’s activities for this year. It will start on the first of next October, and the Saudi International Falconry and Hunting Exhibition, which will start from October 5 to 14, the Al-Melwah Race, and finally the King Abdulaziz Falcon Festival in its sixth edition.

The club’s official spokesman pointed out that the auction achieved great success in its previous two editions, as it achieved total sales of more than 10 million riyals for more than 800 falcons, some of which achieved advanced positions in the competitions of the King Abdulaziz Falcon Festival, which is the largest gathering of falcons in the world.

The Saudi Falcons Club holds 12 nights of public auction for the sale of elite falcons, broadcasted directly by the TV channels broadcasting the event, as well as the club’s websites on social media platforms. The club announces the falcons offered for sale prior to holding each auction night.

The international auction of falcon production farms receives its visitors daily from 5 to 25 August, starting from 4:00 pm until 11:00 pm.
