His Highness Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah, Minister of Foreign Affairs, met today in Washington with His Excellency the Secretary of State of the United States of America, Anthony Blinken.
During the meeting, bilateral relations between the Kingdom and the United States were reviewed, and developments in the Gaza Strip and its surroundings were discussed, in addition to a number of regional issues of common interest.
His Highness the Minister of Foreign Affairs stressed the importance of taking all urgent steps to achieve a ceasefire in Gaza, and making all possible efforts to reduce the pace of escalation and ensure that the violence does not expand to avoid its dangerous repercussions on international peace and security.
His Highness the Minister of Foreign Affairs also stressed the need to create conditions for the return of stability and restore the path of peace to ensure that the Palestinian people obtain their legitimate rights, and to make more efforts to ensure the securing of relief corridors to deliver urgent humanitarian, food and medical aid to the Gaza Strip.
The meeting was attended by Her Royal Highness Princess Reema bint Bandar bin Sultan bin Abdulaziz, Ambassador of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques to the United States of America, and His Excellency the Director General of the Office of His Highness the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Abdul Rahman Al-Daoud.
