A few days ago, the 11th edition of the Babylon International Festival for Culture and Arts ended, it was held in the ancient city of Babylon by several poets, visual artists, musicians, writers and archaeologists under the direction of the poet Dr. Ali Al-Shalah, one of the most famous cultural names in the Arabic-speaking world.
This multicultural arts and literature festival, which lasts eight days every year, has achieved a wide Arab and international presence, surpassing all festivals in Arab countries. Perhaps the important thing about the festival is its vision, created through a distinctive, short and very rich slogan (We are all Babylonian), meaning that all of humanity began in Babylon and settled on it, so that it remains in the memory and imagination of every person of the earth where there is a Babylonian root.
The civilization of the city of Babylon, was the only great civilization mentioned in the three heavenly books ( Bible, Gospel and Koran), and which in addition to the beginnings of laws , represented the beginning of the eternal legends and epics, Now,it represents the new starting point for having creators, and with them brings the rest of humanity closer together and gives all people a feeling of closeness and brotherhood, and from it arises the importance of the Babylon International Festival for culture and arts, as an unprecedented cultural event. It dedicated for the civilization of the city of Babylon, whose civilization and cultures give it a special sanctity, is the sanctity of the beginning and the continuity.
