In a scene where knowledge meets the current of history, Osama Rabie, Chairman of the Suez Canal Authority, and Khaled Elbalshy, President of the Journalists Syndicate, attended the launch of an intensive training program for journalists at the Creativity and Excellence Center in Ismailia—a step reflecting a national bet on people before infrastructure.

The event came within a framework of cooperation between the Egyptian Journalists Syndicate and the Egyptian Observatory for Journalism and Media, targeting journalists from Canal cities, the Delta, and Sinai, in an effort to reshape journalistic tools for the age of artificial intelligence and digital transformation.

In his opening remarks, Osama Rabie stressed that investing in human capital is not a temporary choice, but a lasting doctrine, highlighting the Authority’s commitment to expanding its societal role through partnerships with professional institutions—foremost among them the Journalists Syndicate, which he described as a voice of awareness and guardian of national interests.

He explained that the Authority is advancing its training ecosystem through specialized institutions such as the Maritime Training Academy and the Creativity and Excellence Center, aiming to enhance workforce efficiency in line with the latest global technologies, while extending training services to external entities—transforming national institutions into hubs of knowledge and expertise.

For his part, Khaled Elbalshy affirmed that the Syndicate prioritizes upgrading journalists’ professional and intellectual capacities, through specialized programs aligned with digital media technologies and AI applications, praising the Center as a modern training landmark attuned to the demands of the time.

He also expressed aspirations to establish a sustainable institutional partnership with the Suez Canal Authority through a cooperation protocol, opening broader horizons for training and qualification, and ensuring a more disciplined and professional media message.

Meanwhile, Mohamed Saad Abdel Hafiz, the Syndicate’s Training Undersecretary, noted that the program offers a valuable opportunity to enhance media content through specialized sessions in journalistic writing, mobile journalism, and digital transformation, delivered over four intensive days to help participants keep pace with rapid industry changes.

The Creativity and Excellence Center stands as a comprehensive model of modern training infrastructure, featuring advanced facilities and recording studios, alongside partnerships with global firms such as Siemens—reflecting a fusion of local expertise and international technology.

The visit concluded with a maritime tour through the New Suez Canal and a stop at the Suez Canal Museum, where the memory of history meets a present in motion—and a future written by trained, conscious minds that never lose their compass.
