The **St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF) 2025** is set to commence tomorrow under the theme: **“Shared Values as the Foundation for Growth in a Multipolar World.”** The event is held under the patronage and participation of Russian President **Vladimir Putin**, and will bring together representatives from **137 countries and regions**, heads of major international organizations, business leaders, government officials, and prominent experts.

**Egypt** is participating with an official delegation comprising senior officials and business representatives, aiming to explore cooperation opportunities in trade, investment, logistics, industry, and tourism. In recent years, the forum has served as a key platform for strengthening Russian-Egyptian dialogue, facilitating bilateral agreements, pre-negotiation talks, and the launch of new joint initiatives.

Organized by the **Roscongress Foundation**, the forum underscores its growing importance as a global platform for economic dialogue and agenda-setting—especially amid rising interest and participation from the **Global South**, which is increasingly asserting its role in shaping the future of the world economy. This year’s agenda features more than **150 sessions**, many focusing on Africa, Asia, and Latin America.

In a welcoming message published by the **Kremlin’s official website**, President **Vladimir Putin** reaffirmed Russia’s commitment to shaping a new world order based on respect for sovereignty, cultural identity, and global equity. He expressed confidence that the forum’s discussions would be productive and contribute to resolving the urgent challenges facing humanity.

**Anton Kobyakov**, Presidential Advisor and Executive Secretary of the Forum’s Organizing Committee, stated that the participation of 137 countries demonstrates that the forum has evolved beyond being a space for discussion—it is now a platform for proposing real solutions adapted to rapidly changing global conditions. He emphasized that the diversity of participants and the breadth of topics contribute to the development of practical, values-driven responses grounded in mutual respect.

Kobyakov further noted that the forum is structured around **five main thematic tracks**, with a special focus on strengthening economic sovereignty, developing national financial systems, countering sanctions pressure, and reconfiguring the architecture of international alliances and economic relations.

He added that the forum serves as an incubator for emerging concepts and practices capable of shaping the future—not only for Russia but for the world.

Key themes to be addressed during the forum include:

* **Development Economics: Securing Growth**

* **Technology: Pursuing Global Leadership**

* **Living Environment and Urban Sustainability**

* **The Individual in a New World**

* **Foundations for Sustainable Development**

* **Global Economic Trends and Digital Transformation**

* **Technological Leadership and Demographic Challenges**

The forum is expected to yield tangible partnerships and fresh initiatives among participating nations, as attention grows toward building a more balanced and inclusive global economic order beyond Western-centric frameworks.
