Cairo, July 27, 2025 – In a major development reflecting the strength of U.S.–Egypt relations, the U.S. State Department has approved a significant defense deal to supply Egypt with advanced air defense systems, reinforcing Egypt’s ability to counter aerial threats amid growing regional security challenges.
The proposed deal, pending approval by the U.S. Congress, includes state-of-the-art radar systems, precision missiles, and high-performance support equipment, tailored to bolster Egypt’s national defense capabilities and enhance the protection of its airspace.
