The Arab Union for Digital Empowerment (AUDE) participated in the Third Annual Forum of Think Tanks in Arab Countries, hosted at the headquarters of the League of Arab States in Cairo on 23–24 November 2025. The event was held under the theme:
“The Role of Think Tanks in Harnessing Artificial Intelligence to Enhance Informed Decision-Making.”
Dr. Fawzi Al-Ghweil, Chairman of the Union’s Board of Directors, emphasized that the Union’s participation follows a series of significant achievements in recent months, particularly in implementing specialized training programs in digital transformation and artificial intelligence, delivered by leading Arab experts and trainers.
Al-Ghweil added that the Union is preparing to launch a number of initiatives and sector-specific activities across the Arab region, aiming to strengthen capacity-building and support digital transformation in alignment with rapid advancements in AI technologies.
The Union’s Cairo office was represented at the forum by:
- Ambassador Dr. Youssef Al-Sharqawi, Head of the Cairo Office and Advisor for International Relations,
- Mr. Adel Kharoob, Secretary of the Board of Directors’ Meetings.
Both delivered insightful interventions highlighting the Union’s role in supporting digitalization efforts in the Arab region and in fostering a knowledge-driven environment that contributes to more rational, visionary, and future-oriented decision-making.
