The Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela firmly and unequivocally denounces the latest actions undertaken by the United States, actions which it views as a colonialist provocation aimed at undermining the sovereignty, dignity, and territorial inviolability of the Venezuelan nation.
This renewed attempt to threaten or penetrate Venezuelan airspace represents — in the words of Caracas — “an extravagant, illegal, and unjustified aggression”, one that runs counter to the principles of the UN Charter, international aviation law, and the norms that govern peaceful coexistence among sovereign states.
Venezuela stresses that these maneuvers constitute not merely an operational breach, but a continuation of a broader pattern of pressure, intimidation, and unilateral coercive behavior, designed to destabilize Venezuela’s institutions and erode its right to self-determination.
Speaking in the cadence of nations that have endured external encroachment, Venezuela affirms that no power, however great, may act above international law, nor attempt to impose its will through threats veiled in the language of “security operations” or “strategic monitoring.”
In its message to the international community, Venezuela calls on the United Nations, regional organizations, and all peace-loving states to reject these acts, which it describes as a dangerous return to imperial policing and a violation of the sacred principles of equality of states.
At the heart of its declaration lies a poetic insistence:
Sovereignty is the sky beneath which a people breathe.
To disturb that sky is to trespass upon their very soul.
Venezuela asserts that the people will remain steadfast, calm, and united, confident that no external power can eclipse the horizon of a nation that guards its dignity with vigilance and resolve.
Finally, it urges an end to unilateralism, a recommitment to multilateral dialogue, and a global reaffirmation that colonial shadows — however they reappear — have no place in the 21st century international order.
