MR. Nabil Fahmy, Secretary-General of the League of Arab States, commended the Kingdom of Morocco for successfully foiling a terrorist plot targeting its security and stability.
He stressed that any attempt to target Morocco or undermine its stability constitutes an unacceptable attack on the security of an Arab state and on the collective Arab national security framework, praising the vigilance, professionalism, and efficiency of the Moroccan security services in thwarting the plot.
The Secretary-General reaffirmed the League of Arab States’ full solidarity with the Kingdom of Morocco—its leadership, government, and people—and expressed the League’s unwavering support for all legitimate measures undertaken to safeguard Morocco’s national security, preserve its sovereignty, and protect its citizens and institutions from terrorist threats.
Mr. Fahmy further underscored that confronting terrorism requires stronger Arab cooperation, enhanced security and judicial coordination, and expanded intelligence and information sharing among Arab states. Such cooperation, he noted, is essential to strengthening collective efforts to combat terrorist organizations in all their forms, eliminate their sources of support, and safeguard the security and stability of the Arab world.
