“Arab Visionaries: Claiming Tomorrow”.. This isthe theme of the Arab Conference at Harvard which will be held next November 9-12, 2017 and remarkable preparations are under way led by Dr. Hesham Hamoda, president of the HAAA and the student groups at Harvard, stated Ms Noha Ragab,  the director of Harvard Arab Alumni Association Program..

Entering the post-decade mark, the Arab Conference at Harvard is at a critical time where it is both continuing its legacy of delivering nuanced and substantive discussion on the Arab World and reimagining its vision towards the future.

For this reason, the theme of 2017 conference will be Arab Visionaries: Claiming Tomorrow. The aim with this theme is to combat discriminatory and reductive imagination surrounding the Arab World that diminishes it to a geography of violence and failure. The association believe that it is their responsibility to promote a forward-looking view of the region and that it is their imperative to seek innovative ways to effectively bridge political, economic, and social gaps that have divided the region for far too long.

The 2017 rendition of the Arab Conference at Harvard will seek to promote unity among Arab and global communities and showcase the inspiring men and women who work towards achieving that end. In doing so, the Arab Conference at Harvard will simultaneously showcase the Arab people’s ingenuity, commitment, and resilience.

Ragab said, “This year we are having Khaled Abol Naga, the director, producer and actor as one of the kenote speakers”.
