Wosul & Saudi female employees: We are not alone, let’s guard each other

The Human Resources Development Fund (HDF) has provided a means of transportation for Saudi female employees in the private sector through licensed smart applications to provide high quality and safe transportation services for working women in partnership with private taxi companies.

The move comes within the framework of the Fund’s efforts to empower Saudi women’s work and support their job stability to support the transfer of working women, where women working in the private sector can register in the “Access” program.

The Fund has made adjustments and updates to the “Access” program, in order to maximize the number of applicants to the program and to facilitate the registration of Saudi women workers, with UNFPA support for the empowerment of working women.

The amendments included the conditions of enrollment in the program, the social insurance registration requirement. The employee registration period is less than 36 months. The monthly wage does not exceed SR 8,000. The amendments also included the monthly financial support provided by the Fund at a rate of 80% Maximum 800 riyals per month, cancellation of the previously assessed monthly financial contribution of 200 riyals and extension of support period to 12 months.

The program aims at finding solutions that reduce the burden of transport costs on Saudi women working in the private sector and improve the environment for transporting women to and from workplace by providing safe, high quality and safe transportation services and from the workplace in partnership with Private taxi cab companies through licensed smart applications.
