Kampala, Uganda | THE INDEPENDENT | Uganda Cranes coach Sebastien Desabre has stirred up his team, bringing in defenders Nico Wadada and Timothy Awany, and winger Allan Kyambadde, in his last group game against Egypt.

Cranes were wasteful in their draw against Zimbabwe, and the defence looked unsettled by the absence of Juuko.

Uganda lie second and are set to reach the knockout phase of a Cup of Nations for the first time since 1978 whatever the result.

Cranes coach Sebastian Desabre is optimistic Uganda could break the run of loses to the Pharoahs today.

” I know it will be a difficult game for us but we ready to face the challenge. We shall play to win. We love challenges.  I am confident about my players against Egypt. They are very motivated. It is possible to beat them” he said.

Egypt has already sealed a place in the round of 16 berth with six points, Uganda Cranes’ has four points which should be enough to secure at least second place, or a running for the best third placed teams.

This will be the fifth Cup of Nations clash between the countries in which Egypt have a perfect record.
