The Ministry of Saudi Arabia Foreign Affairs (MOFA) expressed that the government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia welcomed the declaration of a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip, and appreciated the efforts made by the sisterly Arab Republic of Egypt, as well as the efforts of other international parties in this regard.
It also expressed her aspiration for concerted efforts to find a just settlement for the Palestinian issue and to achieve the aspirations of the brotherly Palestinian people to establish their independent state with East Jerusalem as its capital, in accordance with international legitimacy decisions and the Arab Peace Initiative.
The Kingdom reiterated its affirmation of continuing its efforts, in cooperation with brotherly and friendly countries, to reach the achievement of that settlement.
