On Sunday, Iran announced that tomorrow, Monday, will complete the month of Ramadan, and Tuesday will be the first day of Eid al-Fitr, according to the Iranian “IRNA” news agency.
“IRNA” stated that the Crescent Investigation Committee announced, “It is not possible to see the crescent of the month of Shawwal tonight, and that Monday is the completion of the month of Ramadan, and Tuesday is the beginning of the month of Shawwal and the first day of Eid al-Fitr.”
In Iraq, the office of the supreme Shiite authority in Iraq, Ali al-Sistani, announced on Sunday that Monday is a complement to the month of Ramadan, according to the Iraqi News Agency, “conscious.”
The office said, in a statement, that “tomorrow Monday is considered a complement to the month of Ramadan, and Tuesday will be the first of Shawwal Eid Al-Fitr.”
Many countries, such as Saudi Arabia, Egypt, the Emirates, Kuwait, Qatar and Bahrain, announced, on Saturday evening, that Monday would be the first day of Eid al-Fitr.
