‘ESH’ calls to raise awareness of blood pressure dangers

The discussions of the panel discussion, which was held on the sidelines of the activities of the annual international scientific conference of the Egyptian Society of Hypertension (ESH), among the elite of senior officials, media experts and professors of the society, stressed the need for continued cooperation and coordination between the two sides to raise awareness of the dangers of pressure while activating the role of the state and its institutions to raise awareness and disseminate accurate information and data about pressure and its risks. and treat it.

Effective discussions also emphasized the role of the media in raising awareness of the dangers of pressure… the need to expand cooperation protocols between the Egyptian Society for Hypertension and various governmental and private agencies and civil society institutions, including the Egyptian TV, radio, the State Information Service, the ministries of endowments, youth, solidarity and culture, specialized councils, cultural palaces and widespread newspapers To reach all segments of society to raise awareness of the dangers of pressure and to organize seminars in the governorates for simple citizens who resort to pharmacies to measure pressure and take treatment.

Media professors, journalists and media professionals also presented their visions to the association’s professors to activate the association’s communication with citizens to raise awareness of the dangers of pressure, and it was agreed on continuous cooperation to spread rapid media messages to educate citizens.

Dr. Mohsen Ibrahim, President of the Society, participated in the discussion group, Dr. Omar Awwad, Vice President of the Society, Dr. Suleiman Gharib, Secretary General of the Society, Dr. Mohamed Abdel-Ghany, President of the Conference, and Dr. Wafaa Al-Arousi, Treasurer of the Society. From the media side, it was attended by Prof. Dr. Sami Al-Sharif, former Minister of Information and Dean of the Faculty of Information of the Modern University, and Mr. Mohamed El-Abnudi, Editor-in-Chief of My Creed. And the media advisor at the Egyptian Embassy in Tunisia, Mr. Khaled Saad, chief broadcaster, and a group of media professionals from radio, television, Al-Ahram, Al-Akhbar, Al-Isboua, Al-Dustour, and Al-Jumhuriya.

At the beginning, Dr. Mohsen Ibrahim, President of the Association, reviewed…. The national program for the prevention of pressure diseases, the mission of the association, and the efforts it made to raise awareness of the dangers of pressure and reach it to the Senate to reduce salt in food.

In her turn, Dr. Wafaa Al-Arousi, Professor of Cardiology and Secretary General of the Society, reviewed the results of research and field studies that she conducted within the framework of her initiative … Know your number …

She referred to the initiative’s tours in the governorates of Fayoum, Port Said, Damietta, Kafr El-Sheikh, Qalyubia, Cairo and Giza, and its results. Dr. Omar Awad Nayeb, head of the association, also reviewed the need for effective cooperation with the media and coordination with the state, proposing to publish quick messages after or before the series and widespread programs to raise awareness of the dangers of pressure and its treatment method, and activate cooperation and coordination with all media and social communication to reach all groups.

In her turn, Dr. Ghada Sayed, a member of the association, reviewed the important role played by the association’s website and its website, which receives all the association’s events and conferences.

For his part, Prof. Dr. Sami Al-Sharif, former Minister of Information and Dean of the Faculty of Information at the Modern University, praised the role of the association and its scientific and societal mission and the provision of accurate data on proper treatment and measurement of pressure. The presence of the association’s professors in the media and social communication to raise awareness of the pressure and develop the association’s website on Facebook and Twitter.

Dr. Sami Al-Sharif also called for continuous and effective channels of communication with all media and social communication to raise awareness and prepare simplified scientific bulletins on the treatment of pressure..and organize educational courses in the governorates through cooperation with the Information Service..and organize an educational media plan about pressure. The media advisor at the Egyptian Embassy in Tunisia also warned of the importance of cooperation with the SIS to reach all segments of society through its centers in the governorates, and to sign a joint cooperation protocol between the SIS and the association.

Mr. Muhammad Al-Abnoudi, Editor-in-Chief of “My Faith” newspaper, also called for more continuous cooperation between the association’s scholars and the media to provide accurate information about the dangers of pressure, its treatment and the latest medicines, while defining the association’s noble and non-profit message, but rather for awareness, proposing a cooperation protocol with each of the Ministry of Awqaf, youth, newspapers and magazines to organize media campaigns.

The chief broadcaster on Egyptian TV, Khaled Saad, stressed the importance of personal initiatives to help raise awareness of the dangers of pressure, announcing his readiness to host the association’s scholars in his programs on Egyptian television, while communicating with all media institutions to raise awareness and hold periodic meetings. Dr. Omar Awwad invited all media professionals to participate in the pressure club meeting, which he is supervising, on May 26.
