In its session held yesterday, chaired by His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, the Saudi Council of Ministers followed the developments of current political issues on the Arab and international arenas, especially those related to efforts aimed at restoring security and stability to Sudan and preserving its integrity. territorial protection of civilians and ensuring the dispatch of humanitarian aid.

  The Council reaffirmed the Kingdom’s continuation of its efforts in support of dialogue, tolerance, moderation and rejection of extremism, and in this regard welcomed the adoption by the United Nations Human Rights Council of the draft resolution “Combating Religious Hatred”, which was actively demanded by the Kingdom and several countries around the world, as an embodiment of the principles of respect for religions and cultures. And to reinforce the human values guaranteed in international law.

His Excellency the Minister of Information, Mr. Salman bin Youssef Al-Dosari, stated that the Cabinet affirmed the Kingdom’s keenness to consolidate economic cooperation with various countries by stimulating the government and private sectors and the continuation of the exchange of visits between business owners, praising in this context the outcome of the round table meeting of the Saudi-Japanese vision for the year 2030 AD, with the signing of (26) memorandums and agreements in vital economic sectors, as well as what was included in the Saudi-Turkish Investment Forum in terms of the conclusion of (9) memorandums of understanding in several fields.

  Subsequently, the Council discussed the 18th consultative meeting of the Supreme Council of the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf, and the Gulf summit with Central Asian countries, to be held in Jeddah today, Wednesday.

  And His Excellency indicated that the Cabinet stressed what the Kingdom affirmed during the meetings of the Executive Council of the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons held in The Hague, regarding its consistent policy aimed at strengthening cooperation to ban all types of weapons of mass destruction and prevent their proliferation. Including making the Middle East region free of it.

  The Council dealt with what was included in the Kingdom’s participation in the ministerial meeting of the Executive Council of Foreign Ministers of the African Union, highlighting its pioneering role in advancing development and promoting investment in the countries of the continent, and stressing the continuation of work with its partners to support everything that would consolidate progress and prosperity in Africa.

  The Council of Ministers reviewed the topics on its agenda, including topics that the Shura Council participated in studying. It also reviewed the conclusions of the Council of Economic and Development Affairs, the Council of Political and Security Affairs, the General Committee of the Council of Ministers, and the Council of Experts in the Council of Ministers.
