Today, Thursday, Ambassador Soha Gendi, Minister of State for Immigration and Egyptians Abroad Affairs, witnessed the signing of a joint cooperation protocol between the Ministry of Immigration and the Egyptian “Together for Healing” Foundation, affiliated with the HOME Global Healthcare Foundation, which is based in the American state of Houston, with the aim of providing support in the health field and spreading… Health awareness and medical education in the governorates and villages most in need, within the framework of implementing the two presidential initiatives, “Survival Boats” and “Decent Life.”

The protocol was signed at the Ministry’s headquarters by Ambassador Amr Abbas, Assistant Minister of Immigration for Communities Affairs, and Dr. Camille Shukrallah, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the “Together for Healing” Foundation and Managing Director of the Foundation.

For her part, Ambassador Soha Gendi, Minister of Immigration, said that the ministry’s cooperation with the Egyptian “Together for Healing” Foundation, affiliated with the HOME International Foundation, aims to integrate Egyptians abroad into the comprehensive development process taking place on the territory of Egypt, especially in the field of providing health services, and benefiting from their financial support. And moral, scientific and practical expertise and coordination with Egyptian doctors and experts abroad to support medical specialties in Egypt by training medical and nursing staff and workers in health institutions, through the efforts of the Together for Healing Foundation in establishing a network of medical convoys and mobile clinics, and supporting the establishment of fixed medical clinics to secure the treatment of chronic and communicable diseases and others. In all parts of Egypt in general, especially in the poorest villages and in the governorates that source illegal immigration, as well as cooperation between them in providing assistance to establish and support charitable hospitals in these governorates.

The Minister of Immigration added that we seek to strengthen cooperation with the “Together for Healing” Foundation within the two presidential initiatives, “A Decent Life” and “Survival Boats,” to provide its services to citizens in the governorates that source illegal immigration, praising the level of health care in Egypt, including many initiatives for That is 100 million health care, the elimination of waiting lists to receive treatment, and the comprehensive health insurance project that began in Port Said Governorate, stressing that we are keen to provide all possible efforts within these distinguished presidential initiatives to care for the citizen and build the human being, which is the slogan that the Egyptian state raises at the current stage.

Ambassador Soha Gendi added that the Ministry always keeps in mind benefiting from the experiences of Egyptians abroad, in addition to cooperating with civil society institutions that work to provide support and services under the umbrella of the state strategy for building Egyptian people and the United Nations goals for sustainable development, by communicating with our sons who have experience and competencies. Abroad to provide a helping hand and assistance to our society in all possible forms, in order to help its advancement in all social, economic and living aspects.

The Minister praised the efforts of Egyptians abroad in providing their expertise to treat Egyptians in the first categories of care, and among those efforts is the Migratory Birds Forum to treat tumor patients in Upper Egypt, as well as the visit of Egyptian doctors abroad to many areas, within the medical convoys launched by the Ministry of Immigration, in cooperation with the Ministry of Health. She went on to say: “We launched a form for Egyptian doctors abroad to participate in providing medical services to the groups most cared for in Egypt, and we are continuing this in cooperation with the “Together for Healing” Foundation, to provide its services to Egyptians, with the participation of an elite group of the most skilled Egyptian doctors abroad.”

The Minister of Immigration added that the “Together for Healing” Foundation devotes its efforts to providing material and moral support in the field of medical and scientific services, and provides specialized medical staff with international fame to provide educational scientific lectures in the medical field to raise the efficiency of its workers, and works to support the establishment of medical convoys and mobile clinics that tour all… Throughout the Republic, it is also working to provide support to establish fixed medical clinics to treat chronic and communicable diseases. It is also working to establish and support charitable hospitals throughout the geographical scope of the Arab Republic of Egypt, especially in places where there is a shortage. The Foundation is also establishing an integrated hospital in Cairo to perform delicate surgical operations for those unable to do so.

The Minister also explained that the Ministry of Immigration will be able, through the protocol, to communicate with Egyptian communities abroad to urge them to interact with the institution to help provide medical services and the public work it provides and material and moral assistance in the medical and related field, as well as coordination with the ministries and concerned authorities to facilitate the provision of services. Which the Foundation provides for use in hospitals affiliated with the health insurance system, as well as public and university hospitals, and health units in the villages most in need, with the aim of improving the health system in the Egyptian state, and also providing information and data available to the Ministry regarding the poorest villages in the governorates that export the most illegal immigration for them to benefit from these projects. Development to achieve sustainable development to reduce the phenomenon of illegal immigration.

For his part, Dr. Camille Shukrallah expressed his gratitude for the cooperation with the Ministry of Immigration, and said that the institution aims, through the joint protocol with the Ministry, to create a broad education and awareness campaign, especially for workers in the medical field, including dentistry in hospitals.

Through which health services are provided, especially in the governorates and villages most in need, as well as working to provide material and moral support in all aspects of the field of medical services to support charitable and free medicine by supporting medical specialties in Egypt by training medical personnel and workers through the Foundation’s efforts to establish a network. Medical convoys and mobile clinics, and supporting the establishment of fixed medical clinics to ensure the treatment of chronic and communicable diseases, especially in the poorest villages in the governorates that are the source of illegal immigration in particular, as well as providing support to help establish and support charitable hospitals in these governorates.

Kamil also pointed out the excellence of the Egyptian doctor’s level of education and qualification to become one of the most skilled specialists in his field, adding that there are medical convoys in the institution to the areas most in need, and it will be a fixed clinic in Minya or Assiut, next to mobile clinics. He continued that the hospital provides more advanced services, in addition to conducting Surgical operations and others, adding that the hospital will be opened this year, pointing to Telemedicine services in cooperation with Egyptian experts abroad, and that choosing the Fifth Settlement as the headquarters for the integrated hospital that they are building, to guarantee an opportunity to expand into the various therapeutic departments, in addition to ensuring access to them and knowing their location, in addition to Facilitating the entry of ambulances and serving a new sector of patients who cannot reach medical institutions in the center of the country or other governorates close to Cairo.

Kamil welcomed receiving medical inquiries from Egyptians abroad, and paying attention to Egyptian workers abroad and students who need medical support from our children abroad, pointing to cooperation with the Ministry of Immigration in 3 files, including training cadres, and the family medicine program file, in light of the global trend of paying attention to family doctors and following up on the situation. Family health care and transfer it to specialists, and a file of visiting experts and medical professors from Egyptians abroad to transfer expertise to doctors and provide consultations in difficult cases.

It should be noted that the “HOME” Foundation, based in Houston, USA, aims to motivate and encourage Egyptians working in the medical field residing outside Egypt, to support medical specialties inside Egypt and provide their medical services for free in areas most in need, in addition to bringing international experts in the medical field to Egypt to exchange Expertise and development of the health system, in cooperation with the Ministry of Immigration.
