Participated by Russian Embassy, DCPMS organizes a symposium of  “Egypt and the Eurasian Union” widely

Egypt and the Eurasian Economic Union are in negotiating rounds for cooperation with a wide market of trade and investment, with the aim of strengthening Egyptian economic cooperation areas with various countries of the world, east and west. At the end of 2023, in which Russia concludes its periodic presidency of the Eurasian Economic Union, the Dialogue Center for Political and Media Studies (DCPMS), in cooperation with the Russian Embassy in Cairo, and the Egyptian-Russian Foundation for Culture and Science, will organize a symposium entitled “Egypt and the Eurasian Union: Prospects for Joint Cooperation,” on Sunday, December 17, 2023. The Russian Ambassador to Cairo, “Georgy Borisenko,” will speak at this symposium, and Mr. Alexander Pankin, the Russian Deputy Foreign Minister and responsible for the file of Eurasian integration and economic cooperation at the Russian Foreign Ministry, and Mr. Mikhail Chirikaev, Deputy Director of the Trade Policy Department in the Union, will also participate in the symposium via video conference technology. Also speaking at the symposium are Ambassador Reda Al-Taifi, Director of the Egyptian Public Libraries Fund, Major General Staff Hamdi Labib, President of the Al-Hiwar Foundation, Professor Shadi Al-Shafi’i, President of the Egyptian-Russian Foundation for Culture and Science, and Professor Dr. Nour Nada, the economic expert and representative of the Union of Eurasian Peoples Foundation in Cairo. The symposium is moderated by Professor Ahmed Mahmoud, journalist writer for Al-Ahram newspaper, and a number of ambassadors, experts, academics and members of Parliament are also participating in the symposium activities.
