Ambassador Soha Gendi, Minister of State for Immigration and Affairs of Egyptians Abroad, invited Egyptian doctors abroad to participate in the International Health Tourism Conference in Egypt, whose activities will be held during the period from 2-3 next March in the New Administrative Capital, under the patronage of His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi.

The conference activities will be held in the presence of Dr. Mohamed Awad Taj El-Din, Advisor to the President of the Republic for Health and Prevention Affairs, the President of the Conference, Major General Dr. Khaled Fouda, Governor of South Sinai and the Honorary President of the Conference, the concerned ministers and governors, and heads of health and tourism bodies in Egypt. The conference will also witness a large presence of international figures. In the field of medical insurance and health tourism as key speakers, it also includes scientific sessions on the latest developments in medical tourism and the latest directives in that industry worldwide, as the conference is an ideal platform for exchanging ideas and visions and displaying health capabilities in the governmental, private and private sectors.

Ambassador Soha Gendi confirmed that the Ministry of Immigration will be at the forefront of the institutions participating in this important conference and invites all Egyptians abroad, including doctors and specialists, to attend it and contribute to supporting this important tourism field in Egypt, the country of civilizations, which would contribute to advancing the development process and the Egyptian economy, in a way that also serves Achieving sustainable development goals, pointing out that the Ministry highlights the tourism investment opportunities available in Egypt during that period, and invites Egyptian investors interested in this matter to learn about the Egyptian state’s strategy in developing the tourism sector, and provide integrated information to Egyptians abroad that enable them to promote tourism for various tourist destinations. As well as discussing with major Egyptian investors abroad and their foreign partners to enhance ways of joint cooperation between all parties to promote Egyptian tourism among all categories of Egyptians abroad, encourage them to visit tourist and archaeological sites there, introduce them to the ties of common civilizations, develop their spirit of belonging, and make them feel proud of their country and its ancient civilization.

Regarding the areas of linking Egyptians abroad with medical and hospital tourism in Egypt, Ambassador Soha Gendi, Minister of Immigration, explained that this can be achieved by promoting medical and hospital tourism through Egyptians abroad, and the Ministry of Immigration can also play an effective role in building links and promotion through specialists from the country’s citizens abroad.
