KSA Begins Separation Surgery for Egyptian Parasitic Twin

Under the directives of King Salman and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, a Saudi medical team has begun a complex surgery to separate an Egyptian parasitic twin at King Abdullah Specialist Children’s Hospital in Riyadh. The 11-hour operation involves 26 medical professionals and marks the 63rd procedure under the Saudi Conjoined Twin Separation Program. Led by Dr. Abdullah Al Rabeeah, the team is using advanced surgical techniques to address a rare and challenging case. Since 1990, the program has evaluated 149 cases from 27 countries, reinforcing the Kingdom’s leadership in humanitarian medical care.
