A musical celebration was held this evening at the *Russian House in Cairo* to mark the 80th anniversary of the Victory in World War II. The event was attended by several distinguished guests, including the ambassadors of *Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan amb. Askar, Mongolia,* and *Serbia*, who participated as guests of honor.
In his remarks, *Russian Ambassador to Egypt Georgy Borisenko* congratulated the attendees on this historic occasion, emphasizing that the Soviet Union played a decisive role in defeating Nazi Germany, sacrificing millions of lives for the freedom of humanity.
Ambassador Borisenko also noted that Russian soldiers today, through the ongoing special military operation in Ukraine, are following in the footsteps of their ancestors in confronting the resurgence of Nazism in Europe. He expressed deep gratitude to *President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi* for attending the Victory Day celebrations in Moscow, where Egyptian military personnel will march in the Red Square parade.
The event featured performances by staff of the Russian Embassy, students of the embassy’s school, “Victory Volunteers,” and members of national clubs. They presented wartime songs, traditional dances, and artistic showcases that captivated the audience.
