A solemn Flag Hoisting Ceremony was held at the Chancery, where H.E. Ambassador Aamir Shouket hoisted the national flag to the tune of the national anthem.
In his remarks, Ambassador Shouket commended the extraordinary resolve of the Pakistani nation in the face of ongoing Indian aggression, guided by the courageous political leadership and the professionalism of Pakistan’s Armed Forces.
He paid heartfelt tribute to the Armed Forces for their steadfast defense of the country’s sovereignty, security, and territorial integrity.
Ambassador Shouket highlighted Pakistan’s effective diplomatic engagement, noting that the international community acknowledged Pakistan’s principled call for an impartial investigation. The Ambassador emphasized that Pakistan’s measured and firm response to India’s hegemonic actions was widely recognized by international media.
He expressed appreciation to the Government of Egypt for supporting the ceasefire initiative and reiterated Pakistan’s commitment to peace. He reaffirmed that Pakistan, as a peace-loving nation, exercised its right to self-defense in response to unprovoked Indian aggression and seeks no further escalation in the region.
