A new Arabic poetry collection titled “Shatharat: Poems from Tajikistan” by poet, translator, and diplomat Ambassador Nazarzoda Nazarullo has been published by Shams Publishing & Media Foundation in Cairo.
The 96-page volume features original Arabic poems penned by Ambassador Nazarzoda, a member of the Writers’ Union of Tajikistan, alongside his elegant translations of works by renowned Tajik poets Magfirat Yusufi and Suraya Hakimova. His translations preserve the lyrical depth and artistic brilliance of the original verses, making them resonate with the refined sensibilities of the Arab reader.
This book marks the second collaboration between the author and Shams Publishing, following the 2018 release of his first Arabic collection “Scattered Pages”, which included both original poems and translated selections from prominent poets across the former Soviet Union.
