German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier has officially accepted the invitation of Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi to attend the long-awaited inauguration of the Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM) on November 1.
The event is set to mark a historic moment in cultural diplomacy, bringing together leaders, dignitaries, and scholars from across the globe to celebrate Egypt’s ancient heritage and its enduring role in shaping human civilization.
President Steinmeier’s presence underscores the deep cultural ties between Egypt and Germany, as well as their shared commitment to preserving the treasures of history while building bridges of dialogue and cooperation for future generations.
Nestled near the pyramids of Giza, the Grand Egyptian Museum will be the world’s largest archaeological museum, showcasing the full collection of Tutankhamun’s treasures for the first time, alongside thousands of other artifacts that narrate Egypt’s millennia-old story.
