JUST as Türkiye, in coordination with Egypt, played a key role in achieving the recent ceasefire, it now seeks to sustain its commitment to the reconstruction of the Gaza Strip. Through its official institutions and vibrant civil society organizations, Ankara aims to empower the Palestinian people to reclaim the foundations of a dignified life.
In this spirit, Ambassador Salih Mutlu Şen, Türkiye’s Ambassador to Cairo, has emphasized his country’s unwavering solidarity with the Palestinian people and its close cooperation with Egypt to ensure that humanitarian aid and reconstruction efforts reach Gaza swiftly and effectively. His remarks reflect Ankara’s conviction that diplomacy and compassion must walk hand in hand in the service of peace.
On the ground, the Turkish Humanitarian Relief Foundation (IHH) has already launched field operations in northern Gaza — a region that suffered severe destruction. These activities include clearing debris, reopening vital roads, restoring environmental safety, and delivering urgent humanitarian assistance to improve living conditions during the fragile post-ceasefire phase.
Such endeavors, guided by the humanitarian vision shared by Ambassador Salih Mutlu Şen and Egypt’s leadership, stand as a living testament that when nations unite in goodwill, even amidst the ruins of war, hope can once again take root and bloom.
