Ms Maryam Ahmed Al-Shibi, Chargé d’Affaires a.i. at the Embassy of the State of Qatar in the Arab Republic of Egypt, affirmed that the Grand Egyptian Museum stands as one of the most significant cultural projects in the world, housing rare archaeological treasures that embody the grandeur of ancient Egyptian civilization. She noted that its upcoming inauguration on Saturday marks a remarkable cultural and historical milestone on both regional and international levels.
In her statement today, Ms. Al-Shaibi said that the Grand Egyptian Museum will play a pivotal role in promoting cultural tourism and supporting Egypt’s local economy, in addition to spreading global awareness of the Egyptian civilization — one of the oldest and richest in human history.
The ambassador emphasized that Egypt has always been and will remain the cradle of civilizations and a source of inspiration across cultures and eras, praising its leading role in preserving human heritage and passing it on to future generations. Egypt, she concluded, remains an eternal bridge between past and present — a timeless beacon whose spirit never fades.
