Cairo awoke to a morning charged with history, as three continents gathered under one roof at the headquarters of the Afro-Asian Peoples’ Solidarity Organization. At the heart of the hall stood Minister Mohamed El-Orabi – Former Foreign Minister of Egypt and the current President of the Organization – not reading a statement, but forging a stance; not speaking for protocol, but igniting a movement.

With a voice carrying diplomatic weight and moral conviction, El-Orabi declared:

“We – the peoples of the Global South – will no longer live in the margins of history.
We will not allow one nation of ours to be besieged while others remain silent.
And let me state it openly and with full clarity: Venezuela is not alone – and will never be left alone.
Our support is a principled, strategic and human covenant that will not expire.”

The room shifted.
His words felt less like remarks — and more like a wake-up call to the South’s collective consciousness.

El-Orabi continued:

“What we do here is not ceremonial. Today marks the beginning of a new era — when the South speaks with its own voice, reaches with its own hand, and shapes its own destiny.
Popular diplomacy is not a complement to official diplomacy — it is its shield, its heartbeat, and its force when storms rise.”

He affirmed that the Organization will lead — through specialized working committees, academic partnerships, and economic platforms — a transformation of this moment into action:
from clean-energy projects and green hydrogen, to cultural exchange, development programs, and economic bridges that bind continents.

Around him, Latin American ambassadors listened — not only with ears, but with the resonance of recognition.

Venezuela’s Ambassador Wilmer Omar Barrientos responded with candid emotion:

“I will convey these messages to Caracas immediately. Today, we discovered that Venezuela is not alone in its struggle.”

Brazil’s Ambassador Paulino Neto applauded what he described as a “revivalist leadership,” affirming readiness to expand joint development free of external conditions.
While Cuba’s Ambassador Alexander Pellicer carried a message of memory and loyalty, invoking a tradition of solidarity that allows nations to breathe with dignity.

The presence of Mr. Nizar Al-Khaled, Assistant President for Media, Culture and External Relations, reinforced that El-Orabi’s message is not idealism — but rooted in reality, after witnessing first-hand the genuine desire of Latin American civil society to cooperate.

And in the closing moment…
Minister El-Orabi stood once more, presenting the Ambassadors with the Organization’s Shield.
It was metal — yet it felt like a covenant.

A covenant that…

The Global South will not remain fragmented.
That Venezuela has — in Cairo — a pillar of support.
And that solidarity is not a slogan…
but a position taken — and carried — to the very end.
