On Wednesday, 11 February, Dr. Badr Abdelatty, Egypt’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Emigration and Egyptian Expatriates, convened a high-level meeting with his deputies—Ambassador Nabil Habashi, Ambassador Mohamed Abu Bakr, and Dr. Samar El Ahdal—in a move underscoring institutional cohesion and the strategic execution of Egypt’s foreign policy priorities.
Minister Abdelatty emphasized the necessity of integrated roles and coordinated efforts across all sectors of the Ministry. Such synergy, he noted, is essential to implementing the directives of His Excellency the President of the Republic—strengthening Egypt’s presence on both regional and international stages, advancing economic and developmental partnerships, and safeguarding the interests of Egyptians abroad.
He stressed the importance of cultivating a genuine team spirit within the Ministry, consolidating a culture of collective responsibility and complementary functions to ensure efficiency and unified diplomatic messaging.
The discussions addressed the core portfolios under the deputies’ mandates. Minister Abdelatty highlighted the importance of sustaining robust engagement with African nations, reinforcing joint African action, and supporting pathways toward peace and development across the continent. He further underlined the value of deepening international cooperation and enhancing institutional partnerships with regional and global actors—an approach aimed at harmonizing political, economic, and developmental dimensions while consolidating Egypt’s standing as a credible and influential partner worldwide.
Particular attention was given to the welfare of Egyptians abroad. The Minister called for continuous enhancement of consular services, closer engagement with Egyptian communities overseas, and sustained efforts to strengthen their connection to the homeland.
For their part, the Deputy Ministers reaffirmed their full commitment to achieving the Ministry’s strategic objectives—whether by advancing African cooperation, expanding international partnerships, or upgrading consular services and diaspora engagement—reflecting Egypt’s pivotal and enduring role on both regional and global fronts.
