IN a Cairo evening scented with the nectar of the holy month, and softened by the breeze of the Nile, Azerbaijan’s Ambassador to Egypt, Dr. Elkhan Polukhov, hosted his annual Ramadan iftar at one of the capital’s elegant restaurants, welcoming a distinguished group of journalists and media professionals.
The table was rich with delicacies, yet warmer still was the spirit of the gathering. Conversation flowed gently, illuminated not only by chandeliers but by mutual respect and cordial exchange. On the sidelines of the evening, Ambassador Polukhov engaged in friendly dialogue with the attendees, expressing his heartfelt joy at spending Ramadan 1447 in Egypt year after year, and conveying his deep appreciation for the land and people of this timeless nation.

It was a night where diplomacy met devotion, where cultures conversed over a shared table, and where the iftar transcended protocol to become a gesture of friendship—an enduring bridge of goodwill stretching from Baku to Cairo in a world that longs for the warmth of sincere words.
