Dr. Ibrahim Saber, Deputy Governor of Cairo, met today with H.E. Dr. Armen Sarkissian, Ambassador of the Republic of Armenia to Egypt, to discuss prospects for enhanced cooperation between the two sides.
During the meeting, Dr. Saber affirmed Egypt’s appreciation for its longstanding friendship with Armenia, highlighting the strong ties between the two peoples, as reflected in the ongoing presidential-level communications and mutual visits.
The discussions focused on ways to strengthen cooperation between Cairo and Yerevan, the capital of Armenia, including preparations for the signing of a Friendship and Cooperation Agreement between the two cities covering cultural, economic, and development areas.
Ambassador Sarkissian extended an official invitation to the Cairo Governor to visit Yerevan, as part of efforts to further develop bilateral relations and activate joint initiatives between the two capitals.
