The League of Arab States (LAS) welcomed the announcement of a peace agreement between Armenia and the Republic of Azerbaijan, considering it a necessary and important step toward ending the conflict between the two countries and achieving lasting peace in the Caucasus region.
The General Secretariat of the Arab League affirmed its full support for this agreement, which establishes the rules for resolving conflicts through peaceful means. A responsible source in the General Secretariat expressed hope for the signing of a final and comprehensive peace agreement on all contentious issues between the two countries, stressing that diplomatic dialogue is the only solution to this protracted conflict.
