The Chinese Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Gou Jia Kun responded today to a question regarding the current ceasefire agreement in Gaza. He stated that China hopes for a comprehensive and lasting ceasefire to be achieved as soon as possible, in order to alleviate the humanitarian crisis and ease regional tensions.
Gou emphasized that China calls for adherence to the principle of “Palestine governed by Palestinians” and the implementation of the “Two-State Solution” as the just path toward ending the conflict and establishing genuine peace.
He concluded by reaffirming that China stands ready to work closely with the international community to pursue a comprehensive, just, and enduring solution to the Palestinian question — one that restores stability to the Middle East and revives the hope of life in Gaza once more.
