KSA hosts the Saudi International Fisheries Exhibition Feb. 2024

The National Program for the Development of the Livestock and Fisheries Sector is organizing the Saudi International Fisheries Exhibition in its third edition, in the city of Riyadh during the period 4-6 February 2024 AD, under the supervision of the Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture.

This exhibition, which will be held at the Riyadh International Convention and Exhibition Centre, comes based on the Kingdom’s pioneering role in the fisheries sector, and out of its keenness to create a global platform that brings together experts in this field, as 35 countries will participate in the exhibition, represented by more than 120 international and local companies and 3,000 men. Local and international works, and the number of visitors to the exhibition is expected to reach more than 15 thousand visitors.

The exhibition aims to provide an annual platform that brings together international expertise, global experiences and modern technologies in the fields of aquaculture, fisheries, algae and feed, highlighting the food industries of fish food, reviewing the most important products and investment and economic opportunities available and encouraging local and foreign investment in the field of aquaculture, in addition to communication. With the main decision makers in the Kingdom regarding fish wealth and its requirements, and to review and display the latest developments in marine products and the latest advanced technologies in the field.

The Saudi International Fisheries Exhibition will include the holding of more than 20 technical workshops with the participation of international speakers, international companies and universities. It will also witness the conclusion of a number of cooperation agreements and memorandums of understanding between the National Program for the Development of the Livestock and Fisheries Sector and a number of local and international bodies.

This edition will also hold for the first time the “Chef of the Seas” competition under the supervision of the most famous chefs and judges in the world, and the “Master Class – Culinary Experience with the Chef” event with the participation of more than 120 cooking enthusiasts to present seafood dishes using traditional and specific cooking methods, in addition to a business networking program. And an exhibition of types of farmed fish products.

It is noteworthy that the fisheries sector is one of the fastest growing sectors in the world at a rate of up to 6%, and its importance comes from being an important source of food security and an economic tributary to support the national domestic product, provide job opportunities and develop rural communities in accordance with the goals of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030.
