Pakistan’s Federal Minister for Information, Attaullah Tarar, issued a statement on the Pahalgam Incident as follows:
Pakistan possesses credible intelligence indicating that India is planning military action against Pakistan within the next 24 to 36 hours, using baseless and fabricated allegations regarding the Pahalgam incident as a pretext.
India’s self-assumed role as judge, jury, and executioner in the region is reckless and strongly rejected. As a nation that has itself suffered deeply from terrorism, Pakistan condemns such acts in all forms and manifestations worldwide.
As a responsible state, Pakistan offered a credible, transparent, and independent investigation by a neutral commission to uncover the truth. Unfortunately, instead of choosing the path of reason, India appears to have opted for dangerous confrontation, with potential catastrophic consequences for the region and beyond. Its evasion of a credible inquiry only reveals its true motives.
Using strategic decisions to serve manufactured public sentiment for political gain is irresponsible and regrettable.

Pakistan reiterates that any Indian military adventurism will be met with a firm and decisive response. The international community must recognize that the burden of escalation and its fallout lies solely with India.
