The organizing committee of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF) has announced that the main theme for the 2025 forum will be **”Shared Values: A Foundation for Growth in a Multipolar World.”** Recognized as one of the most prominent global platforms for shaping international economic agendas, the forum is scheduled to take place from June 18 to 21 this year.

Anton Kobyakov, Advisor to the President of the Russian Federation and Executive Secretary of the SPIEF Organizing Committee, stated that the theme reflects fundamental transformations in international cooperation. He noted that rapidly evolving political and economic dynamics are reshaping the global landscape.

“A new system of international relations is emerging—based on principles of sovereignty, equal partnership, and respect for national interests,” Kobyakov explained. “A multipolar economic and political model is replacing the outdated neo-colonial structure of the global order. Free and equitable interaction among states is becoming the new norm, supported by values such as sovereignty, respect for national identity, inclusive development, and mutually beneficial cooperation.”

He emphasized that these shifts call for broad dialogue among experts, adding that SPIEF, as one of the world’s largest business forums, serves as a vital platform for open discussion.

“For years, the forum has brought together global leaders, business executives, and experts to address the major challenges of our time and to develop sustainable economic growth solutions,” Kobyakov said. “In today’s changing global order, shared values are the cornerstone of constructive international cooperation.”

Kobyakov also pointed out that the world is moving rapidly toward a system where no single country monopolizes decision-making. “New centers of influence are emerging, offering alternative models of cooperation. This demands not only new approaches to the global economy, but also the development of cooperation mechanisms based on trust, mutual benefit, and transparency.”

“In this context,” he concluded, “the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum becomes a unique platform for crafting strategies aligned with the realities of the 21st century.”
