**Cairo, 29 May 2025** – Egypt has successfully recovered a collection of smuggled Late Period artifacts from France, marking the third successful repatriation of antiquities this month. The recovery was coordinated by the Egyptian embassy in Paris with the cooperation of French authorities, who intercepted an illegal sale attempt.
Earlier in May, Egypt reclaimed **25 rare antiquities from the United States** through efforts led by the Consulate General in New York, and **20 items from Australia**, all part of a broader diplomatic campaign to combat the trafficking of Egyptian heritage.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Emigration and Egyptian Expatriates officially transferred the artifacts to the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities, reaffirming the government’s commitment to restoring and preserving Egypt’s cultural legacy.
