Established in 1975 under the motto “The Middle East’s Leading English Language Daily,” Arab News has long served as a trusted voice for the Arab world in English. In 2018, the newspaper embraced a new identity with the slogan “The Voice of a Changing Region,” reflecting its renewed editorial vision and digital-forward transformation in the internet age.
The 50th anniversary comes at a moment of regional change — from political shifts in Lebanon and Syria to renewed global attention on the Palestinian issue, with a major international conference co-chaired by Saudi Arabia and France scheduled for June in New York.
To mark this milestone, Arab News released a commemorative 50th Anniversary Collection in April, spotlighting key developments that have shaped the Middle East over five decades. Complementing this, the paper launched a new AI-powered podcast series produced using Google’s NotebookLM — reimagining pivotal moments in regional history through synthetic narration and innovative storytelling.
With expanded bureaus in London, Dubai, and Pakistan — and new editions in French and Japanese — Arab News continues to amplify Arab voices on the global stage, embodying a legacy of clarity, credibility, and purpose-driven journalism.
