Organized by the Tourism Committee and the Khorezm regional administration (hokimiyat), the festival celebrates Uzbekistan’s rich agricultural and cultural identity. Each city and district in the Khorezm region will present its finest varieties of melons in uniquely decorated pavilions that reflect the region’s artistic and agrarian heritage.
Visitors can also enjoy:
- Theatrical performances and traditional puppet shows
- Parades of national costumes and folklore music
- Delicacies including Khorezm bread and traditional dishes
- Live workshops and exhibitions of visual and applied arts
The main festivities will take place at Ichan-Kala on August 8–9, followed by a grand finale at Arda Khiva on August 10 with gala concerts featuring both Uzbek and international artists.
Participants will also compete for prizes awarded by the regional authorities and festival sponsors in various creative and agricultural categories.
A vibrant tribute to Uzbekistan’s sweet traditions, the 2025 Melon Festival in Khiva invites locals and travelers alike to taste, celebrate, and share the fruits of culture and community. 🍈
