Oman’s Foreign Minister, Badr bin Hamad Al-Busaidi, met with António Guterres, Secretary-General of the United Nations, at the UN headquarters in New York.
The discussions focused on strengthening cooperation between the Sultanate of Oman and the United Nations, underscoring the importance of sustained joint efforts to support peace and sustainable development.
Both sides also exchanged views on pressing international challenges, with particular attention to the humanitarian crisis in Gaza. They emphasized the urgent need for an immediate ceasefire, intensified efforts to facilitate the entry of humanitarian aid, and alleviation of civilian suffering, while advancing the path toward just political solutions.
