On a fiery night at Cairo International Stadium, Al Ahly wrote yet another chapter in its legendary rivalry with Zamalek, securing a 2–1 victory in the derby clash of the ninth round of the Egyptian Premier League. With this win, the Red Devils climbed to third place on the league table with 15 points, reigniting their fans’ hopes of competing strongly for the title.
This triumph bore the signature of Emad El-Nahas, hailed by supporters as the “man of the match.” Fans went further, calling for him to be appointed Al Ahly’s head coach for life, rewarding him for restoring the spirit and fighting mentality to the team for the second consecutive season.
Supporters are urging the club’s board not to repeat the mistake of appointing Spanish coach José Ribeiro. They ask: should Ribeiro’s failures in the Club World Cup and the league be blamed on Emad El-Nahas—the man who delivered the 2024/2025 league title and revived the soul of the team two seasons in a row?
From the stands, the message was clear: “Nahas is pure gold—protect him in Al Ahly’s fortress.”
