During his participation in the Chinese Embassy’s celebration in Cairo and his meeting with Ambassador Liao Liqiang, H.E. Mohammed bin Ahmed Al-Yamahi, Speaker of the Arab Parliament, extended heartfelt congratulations to the People’s Republic of China—its leadership, government, parliament, and people—on the occasion of its National Day, wishing China continued progress and prosperity.
Al-Yamahi affirmed that China is a cherished friend and a strategic partner of the Arab world, lauding its courageous stances, constructive initiatives, and unwavering commitment to principles in supporting just Arab causes, foremost among them the Palestinian cause. He emphasized that China’s steadfast position on Palestine reflects a model of moral and political strength that Arab nations deeply value and respect.
The Speaker also highlighted the Arab Parliament’s keenness to further strengthen and expand Arab–Chinese relations, particularly at the parliamentary level, in order to consolidate bridges of cooperation and mutual understanding. He stressed that the historical ties and shared civilizational values between the Arab and Chinese peoples provide a solid foundation for a stronger and more effective partnership, one that contributes to enhancing peace, security, and development across the Arab world and Asia.
