The Embassy of the Republic of the Philippines in Cairo is set to illuminate the festive season with a Parol-Making Workshop and a Christmas Concert  where the warmth of Filipino tradition will meet the gentle winter breeze of Cairo.

Adding depth and color to the celebration, the event will also feature an evocative art exhibition titled “Hope and Endeavor.”

🌟 Parol-Making Workshop — A Lantern Born of Light

The parol, the iconic Filipino star-shaped lantern, has long symbolized faith, resilience, and the guiding light of Christmas.
Registered participants will not only learn about this cherished tradition but will also enjoy the chance to craft their own parol from scratch, shaping bamboo and paper into a radiant emblem of hope.

🎶 Christmas Concert — 3:30 PM

A heartwarming mini-concert will gather some of Egypt’s most gifted Filipino singers, who will infuse Cairo with the unmistakable joy of a Filipino Christmas.
Their performances will blend traditional Filipino Christmas melodies with beloved global carols, carrying the audience into a world where nostalgia, celebration, and cultural harmony intertwine.

🖼️ “Hope and Endeavor” Art Exhibit 

Curated by the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (Central Bank of the Philippines), this exhibition presents selected works by Filipino artists created between 1955 and 1982.
The collection embodies a journey of artistic aspiration, national identity, and creative perseverance—echoing the spirit of a people whose art continues to shine across generations.
