THOUGH bitter is the hour that you depart,
And heavy is the grief upon the heart,
A sudden grace arrived to ease the pain—
A Turkish number, like a soothing rain.
Through suffering deep, a lifeline came to stand,
A quiet comfort from a distant land.
For that relief which broke the sudden chill,
We offer thanks, while holding memories still.
Go forth to greater triumphs, Media Attaché and friend,
