1. Advancing the Global Civilization Initiative and Deepening a Culture of Tolerance

Participants emphasized that Chinese and Arab civilizations, with histories extending back thousands of years, offer the contemporary world a rich model of dialogue based on equality, mutual respect, and coexistence among civilizations.

In this context, the conference explored the practical significance of the Global Civilization Initiative in addressing the challenges of international polarization and the growing number of global crises.

2. Exploring the Dimensions of Chinese Modernization and Learning from Its Experience

Participants discussed the importance of studying China from an interactive, cross-border perspective rather than viewing it as an isolated experience.

The academic papers presented at the conference highlighted Chinese modernization as a rich experience worthy of study, particularly in relation to economic and technological development, while maintaining cultural identity and authenticity.

3. Responding to Future Challenges and the Rise of Artificial Intelligence

Researchers stressed the importance of translating academic and intellectual outputs into practical visions and solutions for pressing global challenges, particularly artificial-intelligence governance, energy and water security, climate change, and sustainable economic development.

Such cooperation can contribute to addressing common challenges and advancing the shared interests of Chinese and Arab peoples.

IV. Looking to the Future

The Cairo gathering represents an important milestone in continuing intellectual and civilizational dialogue between China and the Arab world, while paving the way toward the Third World Conference on Chinese Studies, scheduled to be held in Shanghai.

Thus, the dialogue continues between the Nile and the Yangtze—not merely as two rivers separated by geography, but as symbols of two civilizations and cultures meeting through knowledge, dialogue, and mutual understanding.
