As the Prophet Mohamed said, “If you want to soften your heart, then feed the poor and pat the head of the orphan.”. Tday, the Embassy of Saudi Arabia hosted a special ceremony for orphaned children at the Embassy Palace in Garden City, Cairo, in the presence of 100 children from orphanages, in cooperation with the General Federation of Scouts.
The honorable Nahed Bint Fahad Bin Abdullah Al Hazza, Mr. Osama Bin Ahmed Noqali’s wife, the ambassador to the Arab Republic of Egypt and the Permanent Representative of the Kingdom to the Arab League, held the celebration under the theme of “Love Festival for the orphan,” included a variety of recreational activities such as DJs, games and various recreational activities, face painting, bouncy games, and skateboarding. The ceremony extended from morning until 5 pm, during which the ambassador’s sanctuary was keen to be be among the children, sharing their joy and drawing a smile on their faces.
The event was attended by five orphanages, including the Children’s Charity Association, Dar Al-Fustat, the Mushtaqoon Association Committee, the Green Sabla Society, the Friends of Heliopolis and the Naba’a Al-Khair Association.
The delegation was briefed by the supervisors of orphanages on the social conditions of children and identified the different needs, activities and services provided by orphanages for children. It also identified the supervisors of the quality of health care provided to children and the mechanisms for integrating them into society.
Ambassador Osama Noqli was keen to participate in part of the ceremony and to participate in some of its bands. He stressed the importance of caring for orphans and their care, based on the teachings of our Islamic religion, which recommended this, noting the large initiatives taking place in the Kingdom at the level of public and private sectors in the care of orphans.
At the end of the ceremony, souvenirs and gifts were distributed to children.
