On Thursday, May 29, 2025, Egypt’s Minister of Foreign Affairs and Migration, Dr. Badr Abdel Aaty, met with Mr. Rachid Talbi Alami, Speaker of the Moroccan House of Representatives, during his official visit to Rabat.
Minister Abdel Aaty reaffirmed Egypt’s deep appreciation for its ties with Morocco, emphasizing the desire to enhance bilateral cooperation across various fields, particularly in trade, industry, and investment. He also expressed interest in Egypt’s private sector contributing to Morocco’s infrastructure projects ahead of the 2030 World Cup.
The minister praised the historical role of Morocco’s parliament and its active parliamentary diplomacy, especially regarding Arab and African issues. He stressed the importance of continued collaboration between the two countries’ legislative bodies, particularly on shared concerns like the Palestinian cause, and highlighted recent mutual parliamentary visits.
