The St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF 2025) continues to unfold, with this year’s agenda expanding beyond traditional economic topics to embrace cutting-edge technologies and digital innovation.

For the first time, the forum introduces the “Innovation Space” project — a dynamic new platform offering companies the opportunity to participate as co-investors in groundbreaking technological ventures. The initiative positions innovation as a central pillar in the evolving dialogue between science, business, and government.

Anton Kobyakov, Advisor to the Russian President and Executive Secretary of the SPIEF Organizing Committee, emphasized:

“We are working to integrate the scientific community into the forum alongside the business sector, creating an environment where scientists, engineers, entrepreneurs, and policymakers can engage in genuine cooperation. Through this, the ‘Innovation Space’ will evolve from a discussion forum into an actionable business tool.”

Dmitry Seryukov, Head of Innovation Relations at the Roscongress Foundation, explained that the “Innovation Space” provides a vital platform for discussion and trend analysis with leading experts in digital transformation and innovation, particularly in economic contexts.

The project convenes federal authorities, major tech companies, investors, developers, entrepreneurs, startups, and young innovators, making it a cross-sector hub for collaboration and applied science.

Seryukov highlighted the project’s commitment to supporting young scientists, inventors, and developers, fostering a culture of entrepreneurship and building a new generation of technological business leaders. He added that the forum offers an important opportunity to showcase Russia’s leading-edge innovation and advanced technologies, which are increasingly attracting international investment.

  • He concluded by noting that the “Innovation Space” stands as Roscongress’s flagship project in the fields of technology, science, and venture capital, aimed at aligning research, enterprise, and investment within a future-focused digital environment.
